Today I’m checking out the NARS Natural Matte Longwear Foundation in Vienna (L4.5). It claims 24-hour pore-perfecting wear, a natural matte finish, and medium to full coverage, with real skincare in the formula: peptides, niacinamide, and squalane all sitting above pixie-dusting levels. So I put it through an 11-hour day and a full rainstorm on dry, mature skin to see how it holds. All products linked below. #foundationfest #makeupover50

NARS is not a cruelty free brand because they sell in regions that require animal testing (mainland China).

The surprise here was a matte foundation that did not dry me out, and I think the squalane above 1% is doing a lot of that quiet work. If you have not looked into squalane yet, it is one of my favorites:
